On our return to Narrabri we found a 2012 Colorado Dual Cab set up with the Hayman Reese 16K Hitch ready to tow the HyLiner.
This was the same ute the dealer used to tow the HyLiner from the Gold Coast, all they did was put the hitch back in it.
They had also made sure everything was working, installed a new battery etc. We both towed the unit and it was apparent that the Colorado was perfectly capable of towing it, but it also showed that a Space Cab like I drove before would give more freedom in turning, ie a better turning circle, without worrying about the 5th wheeler hitting the cab.
The dealer tried to tempt us to buy his 2012 Colorado Dual Cab, even offering what he thought was a very tempting deal.
However we rejected his offer, not only was his deal not very tempting (it was $4000 higher than a similar Colorado we had seen for sale in Melbourne on the internet) but we didn't like the Dual Cab and we certainly felt we couldn't live with the Electric Blue colour!
So, a deal on the HyLiner was negotiated, which included supply and install of the Hayman Reese 16K hitch in the vehicle of our choice and the wiring up of the trailer wiring in said vehicle.
