Visited Ross, another historic convict town on the main Hobart highway.
This church replaced the original chapel built in 1836.
The interior of this church was rather impressive, with beautiful joinery and stained glass.
Ross was also the site of the Female Factory, but little remains of this. Only the Commandants' cottage is still standing but by the time we go that far it was raining rather heavily!
Ross is also the site of another historic convict built bridge.
Some more pics taken around Ross.
Next stop Oatlands, yet another historic town and the site of the Callington Mill.
