Spent the day in Maryborough, where as luck would have it there was a market on, held every Thursday.

The market stretches over 2 streets in Maryborough. We bought some Thai spice mix here and now wish we had bought more, it is excellent.
As part of the weekly market day a canon is fired at 1pm, which apparently used to be done in the old days so people could set their watches by it.
Here is the Town Crier, Assistant Town Crier and Mary who very kindly posed for me as soon as they saw me raise my camera.
Maryborough was the birthplace of the author of Mary Poppins, here is a statue of Mary Poppins with a good looking bird next to it.
The Post Office and the Post Office Hotel, where we had dinner that night, my first feed of Barramundi (yum)
The Post Office Hotel also functions as a Husband Day Care Centre.

Visited Olds Egine House, a still working foundry and engineering works who have a Visitors Centre, but unforunately it was closed.
