21/07/2014 - Eugowra - Parkes - The Dish - Forbes - Eugowra



We are camped in the Eugowra Showground, weather a bit warmer than the last few days, yay.





 From here we drove to about 20km north of Parkes to visit the CSIRO Radio Telescope, used to study astronomy and also during the various US Moon missions to communicate with Earth.


It was also immortalised in the move The Dish, starring Sam Neill.







 Driving back to Parkes through rural NSW the canola fields are starting to look good.


 Parkes has some nice old buildings, amongst them old court house dating back to 1881.
