We had planned to camp in the Bay of Fires National Park but we arrived later in St Helens than planned, so we stopped in a free camp area as you come in to St Helens.
In the morning we then went to have a look at the Bay of Fires stopping on the way at Binalong Bay, where we photographed some interesting rocks.
The colour of these rocks comes from a lichen growing on them.
We then moved on to the Bay of Fires which is a very pretty place with some great camping spots.
Even though the camping spots here were nicer and more scenic we decided to stay at our spot in St Helens, which is quite an interesting coastal fishing town.
There were some interesting graves at the rear of the St Helens Catholic Church here.
Life was tough in the old days.
Dinner was purchased at the harbour front, fish and chips, which was the best flake (shark) we have ever eaten!
