Planned stop is Hilston NSW, about 120km north of Griffith via Rochester, Echuca, Deniliquin.
Lunch at Deniliquin, and some shopping, then heaeded for Jerilderie where Ned Kelly holed up after fleeing Victoria.
From here he wrote his Jerilderie letter.
Obligatory "piddle" stop (it's a bugger to get old I tell you!).
On the other side of the oad is the Jerilderie RSL where they have a Leopard tank on display.
After Jerilderie we will travel the Kidman Way, named after Sir Sidney Kidman
who owned lots of cattle stations along this route. An Adelaide suburb, Kidman Park, is named after him.
The Kidman Way goes all the way to the Queensland border, where it becomes the Matilda Hwy, passing through Griffith, Cobar and Bourke.
As we didn't make as much progress as we anticipated, we decided to camp overnight at Lake Wyangan, 8km north of Friffith (Camps 6 - NSW - 1105), quite a pretty spot.

Heading for Bourke, on the Darling River, tomorrow, which is some 520km away.
