After a not so restful night listening to the sugar cane trucks, we set off for Babinda, stopping off on the way at Port Douglas.
Port Douglas is a resort town, and I mean wall to wall resorts and apartments, topped off by a shopping area with lots of coffee shops, trendy boutiques and souvenir shops. In other words a real tourist destination for the yuppie latte set.
The small part of the foreshore not completely obliterated by development actually looks quite picturesque though.
So on to Babinda via Cairns.
